The Story Behind Gwen's Garden
Meet Laura Uphill and discover the family story, herbal knowledge and small-batch approach behind Gwen’s Garden natural body care.
Body care from nature
Gwen’s Garden grew from a lifelong connection to useful plants and a belief that good body care can be simple, purposeful and honestly made. Founder Laura Uphill is a Medical Herbalist and Nutritionist with more than 25 years of clinical and teaching experience in Western herbal traditions and Classical Chinese Medicine.
Why the name Gwen's Garden?
Gwen was Laura’s grandmother, and Gwen is also her daughter. The garden was never just one fixed place. It was wherever the family lived together: a place for useful plants, food, learning and shared time. The name holds that family connection and the years spent learning from the natural world.
Made slowly, for a reason
From the salves and labels to the herb collection and packaging, Gwen’s Garden has grown steadily over time. Products are made in small batches using traditional plant-infusion methods, with each ingredient chosen for its role within the cosmetic formulation.
